Tom Jessee - Head Coach/Camp DirectorTom Jessee begins his fifth season as head coach for the University of Tampa women's basketball program. Jessee brings 22 years of coaching experience and a lifetime of dedication and commitment to Tampa Girl's Basketball Camps. In three seasons at the helm of the Spartans, Jessee has compiled a 51-36 record at UT to compliment his career head coaching record of 307-185. In his career, Jessee has won four conference championships, has 37 All-Conference selections, 4 All-American selections, 4 Player of the Year selections, been named Coach of the Year twice, and is the all-time winningest coach at his alma mater Bluefield State University (WV). Coach Jessee's own personal blend of enthusiasm, energy, and instructional abilities have transformed the University of Tampa women's basketball program into an unprecedented success and garnering national attention. Coach Jessee shares those qualities with each and every camper at Tampa Girl's Basketball Camp. |

Phyllis Kessel - Assistant Coach/Asst. Camp DirectorNow in her fifth season with the Spartans, Phyllis Kessel is making her impact on the program working with the team's post players. In addition, Coach Kessel also has responsibilities with scouting of opponents, recruiting, fundraising, and camp promotions. Kessel is a 2002 graduate of the University of Charleston (WV) with a degree in Physical Education. Kessel was a four-year letterwinner in basketball and served as team captain for one season. Coach Kessel has 9 combined years of collegiate coaching/playing experience to go along with 9 years of camp experience as a counselor and coach. |
